dream high

Well I was browsing to some Korean movies and dream high cover caught my eye. It seems cool and it looks like high school musical or glee. So when I start to watch this movie, I had fun and I think it’s interesting so I continued up to the last episode. This is a story about those kids who wants to be a singer and wants to win the showcase. They all have talent but there would be only one. And another thing is that this story is a love triangle. Those drama part made me cry specially when its Kim SooHyun as Song Samdong’s part. He did a lot of sacrifice for this girl named Suzy as Go Hyemi. But this girl doesn’t see it, and he wants another guy. She likes this guy Taecyeon as Jinguk. Go hyemi has a best friend who turned out to be her worst enemy and her name is Ham EunJung as Yoon Baekhee. And there were two other characters there named Wooyoung as Jason. Jason is a student who comes from the United States to study at Kirin Arts High School. He’s been kind and gentle to all the girls on their school that’s why IU as Kim Pilsook thought that Jason likes her. She is overweight but she has a beautiful voice. She has a crush on Jason but he just only sees her as a friend. But soon he fell in love with her when she totally loses her weight. She became prettier after she loses weight. And they have a teacher named Uhm Kijoon as Teacher Kang he don’t have a good reputation on their school and he’s going to be fired soon. He tried to help these students to improve their talents to win the showcase so he could stay longer on Kirin arts high school. He’s like a father with these kids, because he did his best for them even selling his own house just to let them succeed on their goal.

framing hanley

The band was formed in 2005 in White House, TN, and Framing Hanley first played a blend of post-grunge and stylish hard rock under the name Embers Fade. High-school friends Chris Vest (drums) and Luke McDuffe (bass) met vocalist Kenneth Nixon upon entering college, while guitarists Brandon Wooten and Tim Huskinson joined the lineup. Embers Fade retreated to Vest's basement to write songs and create demo records, which they later used to solicit help from former Creed bassist Brett Hestla. Impressed with the band's sound, Hestla served as an early mentor and helped nurture the musicians' songwriting..

After adopting a new name that paid tribute to Ashley Hanley, a close friend who had died in a car accident in late 2006, Framing Hanley retreated to the studio to record The Moment in six short weeks. Taking its cues from the likes of 30 Seconds to Mars and 3 Doors Down, the debut album melded ballads with post-grunge anthems; it also won support from outlets like Sirius Radio, which helped boost the band's profile. Huskinson exited the band in 2008 and was replaced by guitarist Ryan Belcher, who joined just in time to record a cover version of Lil Wayne's "Lollipop." Retooling the rapper's risqué song with hard-edged vocals and heavy guitars, the band soon logged over a million plays on MySpace with the tune, which was released as a single in October 2008.

Lollipop was the first song I’ve heard from Framing Hanley and I think it’s cool. They’re band name also caught my eye because it’s different. And of course Nixon is so adorable. I saw his pictures over the net and I tried to search more about his band. I love Nixon’s voice; I can’t explain how beautiful it is. I just like what I’m hearing; his voice is powerful and nice. One of my favorite songs of Framing Hanley is hear me now. I love it when I’m singing it I can feel the energy and emotions from that song. Next is built for sin, alone in this bed and stupid girl. Some of my friends like this band but some are not. They don’t like them because they are just another boy band. Maybe they said that because Nixon has the looks. But I think they’re not a boy band they’re a rock band. Not because of their looks but on their songs. I liked them a lot because of their songs because I could relate to their songs and stuff. It’s up to you if you would like this band or not, but I definitely recommend them.

STRESSED-OUT STUDENTS

Are you having headache and stomachache after concentrating for long hour’s doing your schoolwork? Do you stay up late just to finish your homework? Does it make you physically ill? Do you get mad because you need to study and do your homework? Don’t you have free time for yourself to do what you want? You are not alone. There are lots of students out there facing high level of stress in school and seems to be increasing, with some psychiatric help. You go to school early then staying up late just to finish your homework. You spend your whole day studying just to get some good grades. It is fine to work hard for your goals, no matter how string you are, there is a limit on what you can do in a day. Don’t stress yourself too much on studying. Try to enjoy it while learning. Consider your homework as a job training not a problem. I know many of you hate homework because you are lazy to do it. Or maybe you don’t get along with your teachers, classmates or schoolmates. That is why you want to quit school. And sometimes you got bored on the discussions. Some students wished they could get more sleeping hours and improve their health, but they have a busy schedule, including school and family. They want to spend more time with their friends, do some other activities and to relax. But they believe that the cant do these things because their parents wants them to maintain high grades in school. Money, education, power and material goods offer no protection against unhappiness or emotional stress. There are things that are important than money. Like emotional and physical well-being, good conscience and friendship with our creator. While doing your best in school you know that academic excellence and material riches do not produce lasting happiness. You will just find that maintaining such goals brings you unnecessary stress. Take a break and clear your mind for a minute. Then try to talk or pray to our creator.

HOW CAN PARENTS HELP?

All of us want our kids to maintain high-grades and performance in school. So we are telling them to study hard, don’t watch TV and play games for a long time and focus on their schoolwork. Driven to reach their goals, they go beyond the limit of their stamina. For example after spending the whole day studying in school, some parents want them to study again at home like having private tutors. Students doing this kind of things can suffer physical and emotional harm. You’re draining too much of their energy. They are too young to deal with stress; they should be enjoying their time at their age. Some students spend extracurricular activities like sports. When they got home, they will study with their private tutor. Then they will do their homework and stay up late to finish it. They are like working adults who works 8 hours a day. After work they go home and, cook some dinner and do some household chores. How can they maintain high and good grades if their mind and body is tired? If you are concerned about the stress your child faces in school, try to go to the school yourself. Talk with their teachers, counselors and administrators. Finally, try to talk with your child and discuss the solution with the problem. It shows that your child has your loving support.

how to get good grades

HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY GRADES?

Are you worried about your grades? Worried about the result of your exam? If you get a high score or you fail? School grades are the main source of anxiety among youths, Receiving the praise of your parents or incurring their wrath. Your grades also serve to give your parents some idea of how you are doing in school. If you manage to get passing grades through guessing, cramming, or even cheating you will never learn how to think. What good is a high grade in math if later on you will find yourself unable to balance a checkbook? How can you get grades that reflect your abilities?

TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR LEARNING

Laziness is often the real reason for low grades. A good student takes responsibility for their learning. Personal motivation helps you keep on going. Putting yourself in schedule and organizing your time. Set goals for yourself. It is on how hard you are willing to study and apply you in school.

STUDY ENVIRONMENT

If you will have a quiet place set aside for studying, you’ll probably get a benefit on it. Use a desk with plenty of space where you can spread out your work. Make sure that you have a good lightning, it reduces fatigue and protects your eyes as well. A cool room provides a more invigorating study environment than a warm room. It is like a job you have to work every day- whether you are in the mood or not. So view your homework as an exercise ins elf-discipline, a rehearsal for later work experience. Try to avoid things that will give you destruction in studying.

MAKE A STUDY ROUTINE

If your homework involves a lot of reading try to follow this method:

First SURVEY your material. Get an overall view of it by looking at subheadings, charts, etc. Next make up QUESTIONS based on chapter titles or topic sentences. Now READ, look for the answers to these questions when you’re done RECITE what you have read without looking on it. Then review by looking over it again and test your memory to each section. Review your notes, textbooks and homework.

FAILURE

If you fail a test after trying hard to pass it can devastate your self-respect. The humiliation of failing a test will be worth it if you learn from your mistakes and improve. Take it as a challenge. What about facing disappointment parents with a bad report card? Face it! Your parents have the right to know how you are doing in school. Be honest with your parents and listen to their discipline. If you think they are expecting too much from you, talk over with them.

Grades are not the final judgment on your worth as a person. Take advantage of the time you are in school, and learn as much as you can. I know you are sick and tired of studying but there will be a time that you want to go back and study again. Strive harder to get good grades and you’ll never regret it.

how to manage your money

HOW TO MANAGE MONEY

A great recession hits the world recently. The economic downturn started in United States in 2007 and it has affected so many countries. There are lots of people who lost their job, the salary decrease and now the price increase. Because of this, people are trying to save their money. But they don’t know how to manage it, instead they spend more rather than to save it. A lot of people says “ Saving is boring, shopping is fun!”. There are three ways to manage your money:

1) Spend it

2) Save it

3) Give it away

Try to make a budget plan, get a paper and pen and write down all your expenses and your budget for it. ”one of the most valuable and sensible things you can do with your money is to give it away.” Chris Farrell adds: “when you think about what matters most, it’s usually relationships, experiences and the sense of making difference, not money and possessions” Which is true because you are going to be happy and you’ll feel good if you help others. Money makes some people blind and greedy, but they are not really happy with it. It will just make bring you more stress in your life. You have to be contented on what you have as long as it provides your needs. There’s nothing wrong in dreaming for more, but you should know your limit. Sometimes it just turns out to a disaster. Like joining some networking or games related to gambling. Yes, you can be rich but it’s not forever. At the first place, you did not work hard for that money, it’s an easy money right? But this won’t last for lifetime and you are going back to zero. If this happens to you, well, you don’t know how to manage your money.

HOW YOU CAN SAVE

First before you buy an expensive item, try to think carefully if it is really needed. Because some people buy expensive things so that others would envy them. Even they don’t really need it.

Second if there are things that you really need, try to find some new items that are on sale or for good used items.

Third if you do not feel compelled to buy popular name brands, you can save money. And if you feel that the item is vital, try looking for something similar in a discount or secondhand shop. Sometimes items from the secondhand shop are better than those expensive and popular brands. And it’s way cheaper so you could save your money for good.

Fourth try to consider that it usually cost less to buy ingredients and cook meals than it does to eat out. Rather than buying expensive drinks, drink water instead. It is much healthier and easier on your pocket. Instead of dining out, try to cook at home or teach your love ones how to cook. You can also try gardening, so you don’t have to buy some ingredients; you’ll have more than buying in a market.

It’s better to be a cautious saver, as to be a generous giver, than to be a selfish spender. Try to start to manage your money now before it’s too late.
